The Hollywoodbets app

Hollywoodbets lists an app on the South African App Store. The account rules do not change because you registered on a phone.

The practical reason to use the Hollywoodbets app is that the coupon, the bet slip and the account are on the phone you already have with you. The rules of the account are the same rules as the website. A bet confirmed in the app is still a bet at the price on the slip.

What Hollywoodbets says is in the app

The South African App Store listing for Hollywoodbets, Apple ID 6741758037, describes the app in the operator’s own words. Paraphrased, that listing points to:

Soccer and other sports betting, including live in-play.
Cash out on soccer multiples.
Horse racing.
Lucky Numbers, which the listing describes as more than 3,000 draws a week.
Spina Zonke games, and crash games including Aviator.
Deposit options and customer support.

Those are product names, not a forecast of what you will win. Jackpot figures in a store description are marketing. They are not a return you can plan on. The Lucky Numbers page explains the fixed-odds product behind that part of the app, and the horse racing page explains win and each-way.

iPhone

Search the South African App Store for the Hollywoodbets app published by the operator, or open the listing linked in the sources below. Install it from Apple, then log in or register. You still have to be 18 or over. The store’s own age rating is not permission to gamble under 18. Hollywoodbets says no person under 18 may gamble.

Android and other phones

Install the app only from a place Hollywoodbets itself sends you, such as its own site, or from a store page it publishes. A file offered by an unrelated blog is not the same product, even if it uses the same name. This guide does not link to third-party Android packages and does not quote a version number, because those details were not taken from a page this site could treat as current.

The mobile site is a complete fallback. Registration, the bet slip and deposits work in the browser. The registration steps are the same citizenship question, details and SMS pin described there.

The offer on mobile

The sign-up terms say you qualify by signing up for an online or mobile betting account. The R25 still has to be used within 24 hours of activation, at odds of 5/10 (0.5 decimal) or greater. The 50 spins are still limited to Hot Hot Hollywoodbets, Hot Hot Fruit and Rainbow Mania. Registering in the app does not add a day to either clock. The conditions are on the sign-up offer page.

Deposits and documents

Voucher deposits use the same providers as the website. The list Hollywoodbets shows on its voucher page is on the deposit methods page. FICA can be uploaded from a phone camera through the self-service site. That process is on the FICA page. A photo of an ID only works if the text and the picture are readable.
