About SportsPunt
SportsPunt explains how sports betting and Hollywoodbets accounts work for adults in South Africa. It does not take bets, and it does not employ tipsters.
SportsPunt is an independent guide for adults who bet on sport in South Africa, or who are deciding whether to open a Hollywoodbets account. The pages cover the Betway Premiership and the wider PSL, rugby, cricket, horse racing, Lucky Numbers, odds, bet types, and the Hollywoodbets registration, offer, app, deposit and FICA processes.
Use the guides to understand the market, calculate a possible return and check account requirements. No tip or past result can guarantee a win.
How the site is funded
If you register with Hollywoodbets through a link on SportsPunt, SportsPunt may earn a commission. Affiliate links use /go/hollywoodbets. You do not pay an extra fee. Hollywoodbets still sets the price, accepts or refuses the bet, and decides withdrawals.
That commercial relationship is set out in full on the affiliate disclosure. It is not a reason to skip the sign-up terms.
What SportsPunt does not do
SportsPunt does not open accounts, hold stakes, approve FICA or reset passwords. Those are Hollywoodbets’ jobs. The helpline printed on Hollywoodbets’ FICA pages is 087 353 7634.
SportsPunt also does not give personal betting advice. If gambling is causing harm, call the National Responsible Gambling Programme on 0800 006 008. That is explained on the responsible gambling page.
